The first bite surprises most people. It's light as air, it snaps, and then it melts and tastes like a strawberry picked at the right moment. That's freeze-drying: we chill the fruit until the water inside becomes ice, then let the ice drift away as vapour. No heat, no sugar, no drying it out in an oven. The flavour has nowhere to go, so it stays, and the vitamins stay with it.
We liked that, because it meant we could make a snack for our kids that we didn't have to think twice about. Something they ask for, that's still doing them some good. One fruit, in a bag, and that's the whole recipe.

Tiny Yumzies is a family business in Canton Zug, and it's smaller than you might think. We freeze-dry, we pack, we ship, we take the phone calls. Nothing gets handed off to a plant in another country and sent back with a Swiss label on it.
Whenever we can, we buy from local and regional growers: fruit that's in season and grown naturally here in Switzerland. For everything else, we look until we find the best quality we can. It all started because friends and their families kept asking where they could get more of our dried fruit. We never planned on a business. We just kept making more, and here we are.
